Select base metals recover marginally on global cues

Select base metals recovered marginally in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on better demand from industrial users amid firming trend in the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Nickel gained by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 1,053 from overnight's closing level of Rs 1,050 and tin moved up by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 947 as against Rs 945 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar all inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 364, Rs 359 and Rs 392, respectively.
