Select base metals like tin, copper and lead strengthened at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to firm industrial demand coupled with higher stockists buying, following bullish trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, aluminium, copper sheets cutting and brass fell on the back of lower consumer demand.
Tin hardened by Rs 17 per kilo to Rs 1,337 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,320 and copper scrap heavy spurted by Rs 7 per kilo to Rs 388, as against Rs 381 previously.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar both rose Rs 6 per kilo each to Rs 397 and Rs 425 from Rs 391 and Rs 419 of last weekend.
Copper armiture moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 375. Lead inched up by a rupee per kilo to Rs 112.
However, aluminium utensils scrap fell by Rs 4 per kilo to Rs 90 from Rs 94 previously. Copper sheets cutting eased by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 368 and brass utensils scrap softened by a rupee per kilo to Rs 258.
