In restricted activity, prices of urad and moong fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on adequate supplies against sluggish demand.
Marketmen said reduced offtake at existing higher levels and weakening trend in producing regions mainly pulled down the select wholesale commodity prices.
Urad declined by Rs 200 to Rs 5,100-5,650, while its dal chilka local, best and dhoya were down by the same margin at Rs 5,600-6,000, Rs 6,500-6,800 and Rs 6,600-6,700 per quintal.
Moong followed suit and traded lower by Rs 200 to Rs 4,600-5,000, while its dal chilka local, dhoya local and best quality enquired lower by the similar margin to Rs 5,600- 6,000, Rs 6,000-6,200 and Rs 6,400-6,600 per quintal.
Arhar and its dal dara variety lost Rs 100 each to Rs 3,800-3,900 and Rs 4,800-5,200 per quintal.
In line with a weakening trend, gram and its dal local and best quality shed Rs 25 each to Rs 2,225-2,250, Rs 2,475- 2,500 and Rs 2,600-2,700 per quintal.
