Select commodity prices dropped up to Rs 300 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on increased arrivals against subdued demand.
Traders said increased arrivals against sluggish demand led to fall in wholesale pulses prices.
In the national capital, Arhar and its dal dara variety fell by Rs 300 and Rs 200 to Rs 3,400-3,500 and Rs 4,500-4,900 per quintal, respectively.
Rajmah chitra (Pune) and (Pune) also declined by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,300-3,900 and Rs 3,400-3,900 respectively, while red variety lost Rs 100 to Rs 3,400-3,500 per quintal.
In line with a weakening trend, gram, gram dal (local) and best quality were also traded lower by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,400-2,425, Rs 2,675-2,700 and Rs 2,725-2,825 per quintal, respectively.
