Select copra declines on subdued demand

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices declined at the spices market here today due to reduced offtake from stockists and retailers.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both dropped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,900 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 5,100 and Rs 5,000, respectively.

Meanwhile, rest of the spices closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Following are today's closing rates in rupees, with the previous rates in brackets:

Black Pepper (per kilo) 211/225 (211/225), ginger bleached (per kilo) 235 (235), ginger unbleached (per kilo) 250 (250), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,000 (5,100)

 

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,900 (5,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,900 (6,900) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,900 (5,900)
