Select copra declines on weak demand, good supply

Copra Alapuzha and copra edible prices declined at the spices market here today, due to sluggish stockists demand coupled with ample stocks position on the back of fresh arrivals.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra edible Mumbai both dipped by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,600 and Rs 7,500 from overnight closing level of Rs 6,700 and Rs 7,600, respectively.  

Meanwhile, rest of the spices closed steady in the absence of necessary buying support. 

Following are today's closing rates in Rs, with the previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 248/265 (248/265), ginger bleached (per kg) 165 (165), ginger unbleached (per kg) 195 (195), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,600 (6,700)

 

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,500 (6,500), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 8,000 (8,000) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,500 (7,600)
