Select copra prices fell sharply at the spices market here today due to hectic stockists selling on the back of subdued domestic as well as overseas demand.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai plunged by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 8,000 from last Friday's closing level of Rs 8,200 and copra edible Mumbai declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,700 as against Rs 7,800.
Copra office Kozhikode also moved down by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,650 as compared to Rs 6,700 previously.
Meanwhile, rest of the spices closed stable in the absence of necessary buying activity.
