Select copra drops on stockists selling

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices dropped at the spices market here today due to hectic stockists selling on the back of adequate stocks availability. Meanwhile, copra edible rose owing to fresh retail buying amidst higher export demand. 

Copra office Alapuzha slumped by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 6,300 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 6,500 and copra office Kozhikode declined by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 6,100 as against Rs 6,250 previously.

However, copra edible Mumbai went up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,600 over its weekend close of Rs 7,500.   

Rest all other spices closed stable in the the absence of any market-moving factors.

Black pepper (per kg) 280/305 (280/305), ginger bleached (per kg) 150 (150), ginger unbleached (per kg) 180 (180), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,300 (6,500)

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,100 (6,250), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,000 (9,000) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,600 (7,500)
