Select copra ends mixed in lacklustre trade

Copra Alapuzha prices slipped further at the spices market here today due to lack of demand amid adequate stock position.

Meanwhile, copra Kozhikode rose moderately owing to stray retail buying.

Copra office Alapuzha fell by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 5,050 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 5,100.

However, copra office Kozhikode moved up by Rs 50 per quintal Rs 4,950, as against Rs 4,900 yesterday.

Rest of spices closed at their overnight levels in the absence of necessary buying support.

Following are today's closing rates in rupees, with the previous rates in brackets:

Black Pepper (per kilo) 211/225 (211/225), ginger bleached (per kilo) 235 (235), ginger unbleached (per kilo) 250 (250), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,050 (5,100)

 

copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,950 (4,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,700 (6,700) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,850 (5,850)
