Select copra rises on better demand

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices recovered at the spices market here today due to fresh buying by stockists and traders amidst good demand from millers. 

Copra edible Mumbai also firmed up on renewed retail offtake.

Copra office Alapuzha rose by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 6,450 from overnight closing level of Rs 6,300 and copra edible Mumbai moved up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 7,600 as against Rs 7,550 previously. 

Copra office Kozhikode also edged up by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 6,225 from Rs 6,200 yesterday. 

Other spices closed stable in the absence of necessary buying support.
