Select edible oils fall on subdued demand

Select edible oil prices fell up to Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on sluggish demand against adequate stocks.

However, non-edible oils remained flat in limited deals.

Traders said adequate stocks against subdued demand from vanaspati millers mainly led to fall in wholesale select edible oil prices.

In the national capital, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) lost Rs 50 to Rs 5,350 per quintal.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Delhi) oils were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,290 and Rs 5,050 per quintal, respectively.

Oilseeds: mustard seed 2,525-2,655 and groundnut seed 2,100-2,850
