Select edible oil prices rose up to Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on fresh buying by vanaspati millers amid firming global trend.
However, non-edible oils remained flat in restricted trade activity.
Traders said fresh buying by vanaspati millers amid firming trend in Malaysia, mainly pushed up select wholesale edible oil prices.
Meanwhile, palm oil for January delivery added 1.4 per cent to $944 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
In the national capital, soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Delhi) gained Rs 20 and Rs 10 to Rs 5,250 and Rs 4,910, while palmolein traded higher by Rs 20 to Rs 5,150 per quintal.
