Select pulses turned weak and prices dropped up to Rs 150 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market owing to slackness in demand at prevailing higher levels against adequate stocks.
Traders subdued demand at existing higher levels against adequate supply in the market mainly pulled down select wholesale pulse prices.
Lower trend in producing region also influenced the trading sentiment, they said.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold suffered the most by losing Rs 150 each to Rs 3,400-3,600 and Rs 3,550-3,800 and its dal local and best quality traded lower by the same margin to Rs 4,150-4,250 and Rs 4,400-4,700 per quintal.
Urad and its dal chilka local and best quality lost Rs 100 each to Rs 4,200-4,750, Rs 5,000-5,400 and Rs 5,450-5,750, while dal dhoya too traded Rs 100 lower at Rs 5,600-5,700 per quintal.
In line with a general weakening trend, moong and its dal chilka local declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,150-4,550 and Rs 5,050-5,450 per quintal.
Gram, gram dal local and best quality were down by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,625-2,650, Rs 2,875-2,890 and Rs 2,975-3,075 per quintal.
