Select pulses up on retailers demand

Select pulses prices rose by up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on increased demand from retailers. 

Traders said increased demand from retailers along with a firming trend in producing regions influenced the select pulses prices.  

In the national capital, rajma red variety rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3,750-3,850, while peas white and green traded higher by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,100-2,200 and Rs 2,250-2,450 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal: 

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 4,000-5,000, Dal moong chilka local 5,000-5,400, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,900-6,100

 

Masoor small 3,100-3,300, bold 3,250-3,500, Dal Masoor local 3,650-3,750, best quality 3,950-4,250, Malka local 3,500-3,550, best 3,650-3,750, Moth 2,100-2,400, Arhar 3,500-4,000, dal arhar dara 5,050-5,450

Gram 2,225-2,250, gram dal (local) 2,500-2,515, best quality 2,600-2,700, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,190, Rajdhani 1,190, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,400-3,800, China 3,500-4,000, red 3,750-3,850
