Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices plunged at the spices market here today on consistent offloading by stockists as well as falling demand from millers amidst higher stock availability.

Elsewhere, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached also declined owing to subdued domestic demand coupled with weak export offtake.

Copra office Alapuzha dropped by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 6,500 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 6,700 and copra office Kozhikode went down by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 6,350 from Rs 6,500.

Ginger bleached and unbleached both fell by Rs 10 per kilo each to Rs 155 and Rs 185 respectively, compared to Rs 165 and Rs 195 yesterday.

Black pepper also moved down further by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 280/305 as against Rs 280/310 previously. While, copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible Mumbai maintained its stable trend in the absence of necessary buying.
