Copra Rajapur and copra edible prices fell sharply at the spices market here today due to aggressive selling by stockists and traders coupled with increased arrivals from key producing regions.
Elsewhere, black pepper also declined further on the back of sluggish domestic as well as overseas demand.
Meanwhile, copra alapuzha firmed up owing to higher retail offtake.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible Mumbai both slumped by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 8,800 and Rs 8,000 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 9,000 and Rs 8,200, respectively.
