Copra edible, copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices declined at the spices market here today on lack of demand from stockists and retailers amidst lower offtake by millers.

Black pepper also slipped owing to weak domestic as well as overseas buying.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra edible Mumbai dropped by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,800 and Rs 7,800 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 6,900 and Rs 7,900 respectively.

Copra office Kozhikode dipped by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 6,700 as compared to Rs 6,750 yesterday. Black pepper also moved down by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 285/315 from Rs 290/320 previously.
