Stocks of companies engaged in the petroleum marketing rose between October 2004 and January 2004 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
Bharat Petroleum Corp shares rose from Rs 361.30 on October 1, to Wednesday's close of Rs 427, up 18.18 per cent on the BSE.
 
Bongaigaon Refinery gained from Rs 79.40 to Rs 87.20, Kochi Refineries from Rs 177.90 to Rs 220.05 and Essar Oil from Rs 21.75 to Rs 27.85.
 
Chennai Petro firmed up from Rs 176.85 to Rs 223.85. Indian Oil Corporation strengthened from Rs 438.40 to Rs 469 and HPCL from Rs 321.80 to Rs 364.45.
 
MRPL moved from Rs 45.65 to Rs 48.50 and Petronet LNG from Rs 23.75 to Rs 40.60. Crude oil producer ONGC fell from Rs 777.80 to Rs 776.80.
