Selling continues... Sensex down over 200pts

Heavy selling is seen across sectors with Consumer Durables and realty indices leading the fall, down around 7% each.

The Sensex has touched a low of 13,219 and is now 13,281, down 223 points.

Jaiprakash Associates and Mahindra & Mahindra have tumbled over 6% each to Rs 174 and Rs 650, respectively.

DLF, Hindalco and Tata Power slumped  over 5% each to Rs 263, Rs 69 and Rs 1,012, respectively.

Maruti, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Reliance Infrastructure are down over 4.5% each.

Sun Pharma remains however remains firm and is now up 2.5% at Rs 1,148.

The market breadth is extremely - out of 2,352 shares traded, 1,938 have declined and 363 have advanced so far on the BSE.
