Fund managers last week were in sell mode in a truncated trading week. Markets were closed on Thursday and Friday due to elections and Maharashtra Day. Trading activity too was quite subdued with just 10 trades been executed in the three-day week - of which just one was on the buy side. Cumulatively, the four fund managers were net sellers of stocks worth Rs 1.32 lakh.
The Smart Portfolios benchmark index too saw minimal change of just five odd points. The BSE 200 index declined 0.3 per cent to 1,339 last week. The benchmark's net worth too declined just 0.3 per cent to Rs 7.52 lakh as against Rs 7.54 lakh the week before. Similarly, portfolio value of fund managers too saw minor changes of 0-0.4 per cent, each.
However, at the end of the week the benchmark net worth is still down nearly 25 per cent from its initial corpus of Rs 10 lakh at the start of Smart Portfolios on September 1, 2008. Meanwhile, Anand Agarwal's net worth has declined almost 8 per cent, Kashyap Pujara's 5 per cent and Sadanand Shetty's nearly 2 per cent. However, Amar Ambani's portfolio value is up 2.6 per cent.

Anand Agarwal's net worth saw no change at all, as his portfolio value remained stagnant at Rs 9.21 lakh, despite net sales of stocks worth Rs 49,000. Last week, in the two trades that he executed he booked partial gains in SBI and Larsen & Toubro.
At the end of the week, he still holds some more shares of SBI and Larsen & Toubro along with BPCL and Indian Oil. All his four stocks are above his purchase price, with profits varying in the range of 2-8 per cent, each. Agarwal's total investments now stands around Rs 89,000, while his cash balance is high at around Rs 8.32 lakh.

Sadanand Shetty who executed the most number of trades - five - last week was in complete sell mode. He sold stocks worth Rs 53,160. Shetty exited from Piramal Healthcare for smart gain of 13.6 per cent. He also booked partial profit of 18.6 per cent and 20.5 per cent respectively on his investments in Areva T&D and Balrampur Chini.
At the end of the week, his net worth saw a marginal decline from Rs 9.83 lakh to Rs 9.81 lakh. Shetty still holds nine stocks in his portfolio for a total investment of Rs 2.86 lakh.
All his nine stocks are above his cost price, and Reliance is his biggest gainer - up over 54 per cent from his purchase price. Other stocks are up 3-26 per cent each. He now holds Rs 6.95 lakh as cash in hand.

Fund Manager, ENAM Direct Kashyap Pujara's portfolio has got a bit lighter now, after he exited from Idea Cellular scrip. Prior to this he had just three stocks in his portfolio. The Idea sale fetched him a smart gain of over 35 per cent.
Pujara's remaining two stocks are SBI and Century Textiles, of which the former is up over 16 per cent, while the latter is down over 11 per cent from their respective purchase prices. His total investments now stand at Rs 2.43 lakh, and he has cash worth Rs 7.07 lakh. Last week, his net worth declined by 0.4 per cent to Rs 9.50 lakh from Rs 9.54 lakh.
