A fresh bout of selling pressure in most of the old and new economy stocks has seen the index dip to a low of 6,440. While the Sensex has shed 39 points to 6,442, the Nifty is down six points at 1,995. Reliance has slumped 1.84% (Rs 10) to Rs 543. ITC is unchanged with a per cent loss (Rs 16) at Rs 1,463. ONGC, however, is up a per cent (Rs 6) at Rs 878. Infosys has lost 1.29% (Rs 27) to Rs 2,070. Wipro is down a rupee at Rs 646, while Satyam (up Rs 7 to Rs 433) is still holding on to its gains. SBI has lost a per cent (Rs 6) to Rs 616. ICICI Bank has upped its gains by 1.53% (Rs 6) to Rs 389. Tata Motors has shed 2.47% (Rs 11) to Rs 426. While Maruti has slipped 1.15% (Rs 5) to Rs 435, Hero Honda is down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 545. Hindalco (down Rs 13 to Rs 1,207) and Tisco (down Rs 5 to Rs 358) are also exhibiting weak trends. Dr. Reddy's has declined 2.24% (Rs 15) to Rs 665. Other pharma pivotals are trading on a divergent note. Cement stocks, however, continue to trade in the limelight since the early trades. ACC has gained 1.58% (Rs 6) to Rs 385, and Gujarat Ambuja is up 1.64% (Rs 7) at Rs 442. Grasim is up Rs 2 at Rs 1,152. |
