Selling intensifies, Sensex drops 102pts

The Sensex is now down 131 points at 13,841.

Satyam has dropped 2.4% to Rs 455. Tata Motors, HLL and ONGC have slipped around 2% each to Rs 872, Rs 235 and Rs 845, respectively.

Wipro has shed 1.8% to Rs 574. Bajaj Auto and Reliance have declined 1.7% each to Rs 2,659 and Rs 1,279, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, ITC, Hindalco, TCS, Maruti, ACC, Infosys and HDFC are the other major losers.

Reliance Energy has gained 2.5% at Rs 555. NTPC, Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim and Dr.Reddy's have added over 1% each to Rs 154, Rs 142, Rs 2,775 and Rs 765, respectively.

Out of 2,591 stocks traded so far, 1,408 have declined, 1,102 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
