Selling pressure continues; breadth very -ve

The Sensex continues to reel under selling pressure and is now down 368 points at 9,003.

ICICI Bank has plunged over 8% to Rs 405. Jaiprakash Associates has shed 7.7% at Rs 65.

Tata Steel has tumbled over 7% to Rs 198. Wipro, Sterlite, DLF and HDFC Bank have slumped around 6.5% each to Rs 228, Rs 255, Rs 198 and Rs 915, respectively.

Reliance Communications has slipped 6% to Rs 174. TCS, Infosys and Reliance Infrastructure have declined around 5.5% each to Rs 508, Rs 1,231 and Rs 494, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 1,998 stocks traded so far, 1,493 have declined, 444 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
