The Sensex has soared above the 14,000-mark on the back of unabated buying in the market. The index is now up 723 points at 14,039.
DLF has zoomed 8.8% to Rs 431. Satyam and ICICI Bank have soared over 8% each to Rs 363 and Rs 623, respectively.
HDFC and Infosys have surged over 7.5% each to Rs 2,290 and Rs 1,640, respectively.
TCS and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied 6.3% each to Rs 766 and Rs 903, respectively.
HDFC Bank and Reliance have gained around 6% each at Rs 1,297 and Rs 2,048, respectively.
Tata Power, Bharti Airtel and BHEL have moved up nearly 6% each to Rs 1,004, Rs 805 and Rs 1,700, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance Communicaitons, Tata Steel, NTPC and Larsen & Toubro are up around 5% each.
Out of 2,604 stocks traded so far, 1,869 have advanced, 670 have declined and 65 are unchanged.
