Sensex advances 105pts; Infosys gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 105 points at 12,560.

BHEL has surged 2.6% to Rs 2,210. NTPC and Infosys have rallied around 2% each to Rs 151 and Rs 1,958, respectively.

Satyam has advanced 1.7% to Rs 454. Wipro and HLL have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 526 and Rs 199, respectively.

Tata Motors, Hero Honda, ITC and Gujarat Ambuja are up over 1% each to Rs 678, Rs 647, Rs 148 and Rs 105, respectively.

Cipla and Bajaj Auto have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 222 and Rs 2,267, respectively. HDFC is down over 1% at Rs 1,415.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,066 stocks traded so far, 1,040 have declined, 964 have advanced and 62 are unchanged.
