Sensex at 4,906 on strong results

 Opening firm, the market rose steadily as the trading session progressed, gaining further ground as positive corporate quarterly results came in. The Sensex crossed 4,900 towards the end of the trading session.

 Recording its fourth straight rise, the Sensex touched a low of 4,779.09 and a high of 4,913.18 in intra-day trades. The Sensex has gained 104.59 points over the week.
