Sensex at day's high, up 130pts

Renewed buying has lifted the Sensex to a high of 10,953 - up 130 points.

Earlier in the day, the index opened a tad higher at 10,831 before slipping into the negative zone. The index tumbled to a low of 10,623 - down 200 points from its previous close.

ICICI Bank has rallied 4.7% to Rs 598. ACC has surged 4.2% to Rs 783.

Hindalco and Cipla have added 3.5% each to Rs 198 and Rs 235, respectively. Satyam has advanced over 3% to Rs 707.

HDFC Bank has dropped 3.5% to Rs 759. Tata Power has slipped over 3% to Rs 533.

HDFC has slipped over 2% to Rs 1,215.

Out of 2,177 stocks traded so far, 1,498 have advanced, 639 have declined and 40 are unchanged.
