Sensex at day's high, up 340pts

The Sensex is up 340 points at 9636.

Reliance Energy has soared nearly 8% to Rs 407. Grasim has rallied 6.7% to Rs 1,668. Reliance has moved up nearly 6% to Rs 874.

ITC and Ranbaxy has zoomed over 5% each to Rs 155 and Rs 360, respectively.

NTPC, Hindalco, Bajaj Auto, ACC and Gujarat Ambuja have gained 4% each to Rs 104, Rs 158, Rs 2,455, Rs 728 and Rs 90, respectively.

Out of 2,075 stocks traded so far, 1,059 have declined, 971 have advanced and 45 are unchanged.
