Sensex at day's high, up 72pts

The Sensex has rallied to the day's high and is now up 72 points at 12,144.

Satyam and Reliance Communications have advanced over 2.5% each to Rs 845 and Rs 335, respectively.

TCS and Dr.Reddy's have surged 2% each to Rs 1,017 and Rs 768, respectively.

Hindalco has gained 1.5% at Rs 171. NTPC, ONGC and Ranbaxy are the other smart gainers.

HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,346.

Out of 2,509 stocks traded so far, 1,288 have advanced, 1,126 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
