Sensex at day's high, up 88pts

The Sensex is now close the day's high at 10,840, up 88 points.

NTPC has surged 3.5% to Rs 120. BHEL has advanced over 3% to Rs 2,169.

Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors have gained 2.3% each to Rs 2,525 and Rs 750, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja, Hindalco and Dr.Reddy's have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 105, Rs 161 and Rs 1,415, respectively.

Reliance Communications, ACC and Ranbaxy are up 1.5% each at Rs 263, Rs 867 and Rs 376, respectively.

Out of 2,411 stocks traded so far, 1,399 have advanced, 926 have declined and 86 are unchanged.
