Sensex at previous top, up 164pts

All-round buying in the market saw the Sensex equal its previous all-time intra-day high of 10,753. The index is now up 164 points at 10,738.

ACC and Gujarat Ambuja are standing firm with gains of 3% each at Rs 771 and Rs 101, respectively. Grasim has added 1.8% to Rs 1,919.

HDFC has advanced 3% to Rs 1,319. Bharti Tele has surged 2.8% to Rs 393. Larsen & Toubro has moved up 2.4% to Rs 2,501.

Tata Steel, Cipla, Hindalco and Hero Honda have rallied 2% each to RS 461, Rs 586, Rs 161 and Rs 897, respectively.

ICICI Bank, ITC, Satyam, HDFC Bank, ONGC, Bajaj Auto, Ranbaxy, Tata Power and SB are up 1-2% each.

The market breadth continues to remain positive. Out of total of 2,508 stocks traded so far, 1,583 have advanced, 851 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
