Sensex below 19K, down 82pts after +ve start

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 44 points at 19,103, touched a fresh all-time intra-day high of 19,174, and then slipped into red to a low of 18,955.

The index is now down 82 points at 18,977.

TCS and ONGC have surged 2.5% each to Rs 1,100 and Rs 1,220, respectively.

Reliance Energy has soared 2% to Rs 1,884. HDFC Bank has advanced 1.3% to Rs 1,510.

Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and Dr.Reddy's are up around 1% each.

Bajaj Auto has slipped over 1% to Rs 2,550.
