Sensex cracks 8,700

The Sensex has zoomed 1.3% (113 points) to 8,719.

ONGC has advanced 2.7% (Rs 29) to Rs 1,099. Reliance is up Rs 9 at Rs 810.

Infosys has added Rs 60 to Rs 2,530. Satyam is up 3% (Rs 15) at Rs 557.

BHEL is still up over 5% (Rs 62) at Rs 1,222.

Auto and pharma scrips are also trading with gains.

Declines are ahead of advances - out of 2,510 scrips traded till now, 1,735 have declined, 741 have declined and 34 are unchanged.
