Sensex crosses 13,500, up 38pts

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 50 points at 13,476. The index crossed the 13,500-mark to touch a new all-time intra-day high of 13,505.

The index is now up 38 points at 13,464.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have advanced over 1% each to Rs 867 and Rs 1,074, respectively.

Reliance Communications has gained 1% at Rs 403. ONGC and Wipro are the other smart gainers.
