<b>Sensex crosses 19,000, up 595pts </b>

The Sensex has crossed another milestone of 19,000, and is now up 595 points at 19,014.

The last 1,000 points has come in just four trading days.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 8.7% to Rs 1,778. ONGC has soared 8% to Rs 1,178.

Tata Steel has surged 6.5% to Rs 904. Maruti and SBI have rallied 5.7% each to Rs 1,160 and Rs 1,968, respectively.

Hindalco and Bharti Airtel have advanced around 5% each to Rs 188 and Rs 1,122, respectively.

NTPC, Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have gained around 4.5% each at Rs 228, Rs 750 and Rs 1,493, respectively.

HDFC has moved up 3.8% to Rs 2,565. BHEL, ICICI Bank, ACC and Reliance are the other major gainers.

Hindustan Unilever is down nearly 1% at Rs 219.

Out of 2,801 stocks traded so far, 1,946 have advanced, 783 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
