Sensex crosses 9900, now up 145pts

Unabated buying in the market led the Sensex rally to a high of 9904. The index is now up 145 points at 9888.

ICICI Bank has advanced nearly 6% to Rs 604. HDFC has moved up 3% to Rs 1,345. SBI has added 1% to Rs 865.

Larsen & Toubro has rallied 4% to Rs 2,288. BHEL has surged 1.6% to Rs 1,873.

ONGC has gained 1% at Rs 1,175. Reliance is flat at Rs 698.

Infosys and Satyam have spurted 1.4% each to Rs 2,825 and Rs 737, respectively. TCS is up 1% at Rs 1,647.

While NTPC has surged 1.7% to Rs 120, Tata Power is up 1.2% at Rs 489.

Hero Honda and Maruti has added 1.3% each to Rs 860 and Rs 739, respectively. Bajaj Auto has gained 1% at Rs 2,161.

ACC at Rs 589, Gujarat Ambuja at Rs 85.60 and Grasim at Rs 1,546 have advanced over 1% each.

Cipla, Dr.Reddy's and Ranbaxy are also up over 1% each at Rs 490, Rs 1,172 and Rs 395, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive with nearly 65% of the traded stocks so far advancing. Out of 2,239 stocks traded so far, 1,443 have advanced, 739 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
