Sensex cuts loss to 196pts

Sustaine buying at lower levels has seen the Sensex bounce back strongly. The index is now down 196 points (2.95%) at 6,455.

Bharti is now down Rs 14 at Rs 212.

Gujarat Ambuja has moved into positive zone, and is up a rupee at Rs 427. Grasim is still down Rs 37 at Rs 1,304.

Hero Honda is now down 7.4% (Rs 45) at Rs 566. Hindalco is down Rs 62 (4.5%) at Rs 1,363. HPCL is down Rs 21 at Rs 392.

HLL is still down Rs 2 at Rs 144. ITC is down Rs 16 at Rs 1,298. Reliance is marginally lower at Rs 530. SBI has moved up to Rs 613 - down Rs 36 (5.6%). ONGC is down 3% (Rs 29) at Rs 799.

Infosys is now down only 1.8% (Rs 39) at Rs 2,049. Wipro is at Rs 706 - down Rs 43 (6%).

Auto and pharma scrips continue to trade on a weak note.
