Sensex dips 6 pts

The market is slipping between positive and negative zones, with the Sensex now currently down six points at 6,746 as fresh selling has dragged most of the old and new economy counters into the red. The Nity, too, has eased on selective selling, and is down four points at 2,125.

ONGC has slipped from higher levels to Rs 906 - down Rs 6.

Infosys (down Rs 8 to Rs 2,197) and Wipro (down Rs 3 to Rs 680) are trading with steady losses. Satyam has declined 1.50% (Rs 6) to Rs 402.

ITC and HLL are down a tad each at Rs 1,336 and Rs 136, respectively.

Bharti has tumbled 3% (Rs 7) to Rs 210. L&T and BHEL are down a per cent each at Rs 1,075 (down Rs 10) and Rs 798 (down Rs 9), respectively. Tata Power has lost 1.15% (Rs 4) to Rs 379.

Grasim has lost a per cent (Rs 15) to Rs 1,345. Other cement counters, too, are trading weak.

Hero Honda is down a per cent (Rs 5) at Rs 557. Other auto majors, too, are displaying weak trends.

Reliance, however, is up a notch at Rs 571. ICCI Bank continues to trade on a buoyant note, and has shot up 5.32% (Rs 20) to Rs 403.

HPCL is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 336. Hindalco (up Rs 9 to Rs 1,445) is trading with steady gains.
