Sensex down 1%; Engineers India up 20%

The Sensex continues to exhibit range-bound movement and is now down 1% (94 points) at 9351.

Grasim has surged 2.2% to Rs 1,453.

Maruti, SBI, Tata Motors and Gujarat Ambuja are up over 1% each.

Infosys is down almost 5% at Rs 2,830.

HDFC has declined nearly 3% at Rs 1,186, and Ranbaxy has shed 2.4% at Rs 384.

TCS, ONGC, Reliance, Reliance Energy and Bajaj Auto continue to languish in the negative territory.

Among other gainers - Engineers India has hit the 20% upper limit at Rs 883. Dredging has soared over 11% at Rs 688 and Alstom Projects has surged over 8% to Rs 249. Rolta, Asahi India, Balaji Tele, Sterlite, Apollo Tyres, Jaiprakash Associates, i-flex, CESC, Hindustan Zinc and Dena Bank have gained 2-3% each.

iGate Global has dropped 4.3% to Rs 241. Container Corporation, ICI India, Kotak Bank, VisualSoft, Apollo Hospitals, Suzlon, BPCL, Hexaware and Jindal Steel have declined 2-3% each.
