Ranbaxy has gained 3% at Rs 381. Satyam has surged 2.5% to Rs 703, and RCoVL has moved up 2% to Rs 253.
Larsen & Toubro and HDFC have declined over 3% each to Rs 2,126 and Rs 1,085, respectively.
Tata Motors, BHEL, Tata Steel and Hero Honda have slipped 2% each to Rs 765, Rs 1,831, Rs 480 and Rs 755, respectively.
The market breadth has again turned negative - out of 2,275 stocks traded so far, 1,233 have declined, 994 have advanced and 48 are unchanged.
