Sensex down 100pts; Dr.Reddy's sheds 2.5%

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 39 points at 13,391. Weakness in the opening trades saw the index plunge to a low of 13,278. The index is now down 100 points at 13,330.

Dr.Reddy's has dropped 2.5% to Rs 718. HDFC Bank has plunged 2% to Rs 1,104, and ACC has shed 1.7% to Rs 1,079.

Tata Steel and Infosys have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 470 and Rs 2,160, respectively.

Satyam, Cipla and TCS are down 1% each at Rs 429, Rs 258 and Rs 1,083, respectively.
