Sensex down 101pts

The Sensex is now down 101 points at 10,829.

Grasim has surged 2.5% to Rs 2,045. HLL has gained 2% at Rs 242.

Reliance Communications and ICICI Bank are the other major gainers among the index stocks.

Bharti Airtel has dropped 3.5% to Rs 369. Wipro has shed 2.5% to Rs 504.

Larsen & Toubro, Hero Honda, TCS and Reliance have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 2,219, Rs 711, Rs 1,860 and Rs 1,079, respectively.

Out of 2,389 stocks traded so far, 1,176 have advanced, 1,122 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
