Sensex down 102pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 102 points at 17,458.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 4.5% to Rs 924. Tata Steel, TCS and Satyam have shed around 2.5% each to Rs 829, Rs 1,078 and Rs 449, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 2.3% to Rs 1,050. Reliance has dropped 1.5% to Rs 2,430.

Wipro and Infosys are down 1% each at Rs 495 and Rs 1,890, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has soared 4% to Rs 145. ACC and Reliance Energy have surged 3% each to Rs 1,019 and Rs 1,372, respectively.

ICICI Bank has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,050. ITC, Hindalco and Mahindra & Mahindra have advanced around 2% each to Rs 179, Rs 178 and Rs 742, respectively.

HDFC Bank, SBI and Dr.Reddy's are up 1% each at Rs 1,373, Rs 1,684 and Rs 620, respectively.

Out of 2,685 stocks traded so far, 1,326 have declined, 1,283 have advanced and 76 are unchanged.
