Sensex down 105pts; Bajaj advances 2%

The Sensex is now down 105 points at 12,261.

TCS has dropped 2.3% to Rs 991. BHEL and HDFC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 2,319 and Rs 1,446, respectively.

HDFC Bank and ITC have shed 1.7% each to Rs 905 and Rs 185, respectively.

NTPC, Satyam and Wipro are down around 1.5% each at Rs 131, Rs 811 and Rs 513, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has rallied 2.3% to Rs 3,100, and Tata Motors has gained 1.5% at Rs 883. Reliance Energy is up 1% at Rs 491.

Out of 2,477 stocks traded so far, 1,263 have declined, 1,133 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
