Sensex down 107pts; breadth marginally -ve

In the pre sun-outage session, the Sensex moved in a range of 311 points - from a high of 13,008, the index touched a low of 12,697. The index is down 107 points at 12,753 at break.

Larsen & Toubro is trading ex-bounus at Rs 1,167.

SBI has plunged 2.7% to Rs 1,426.

Reliance Communications, Reliance, Reliance Infrastructure and Bharti Airtel have shed around 2.5% each at Rs 325, Rs 1,896, Rs 771 and Rs 766, respectively.

Sterlite and BHEL have dropped 2% each to Rs 420 and Rs 1,555, respectively.

DLF and TCS have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 346 and Rs 651, respectively. ICICI Bank is down over 1% at Rs 529.

 

Satyam and Jaiprakash Associates have soared 4.5% each to Rs 310 and Rs 116, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged over 3% to Rs 256.

Infosys, ACC and ITC have rallied around 2% each to Rs 1,428, Rs 625 and Rs 192, respectively.

Grasim and Tata Steel has advanced over 1.5% each to Rs 1,715 and Rs 432, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has moved up 1.3% to Rs 516, and Hindustan Unilever has added 1% to Rs 254.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,112 stocks traded so far, 1,086 have declined, 966 have advanced and 60 are unchanged.
