Sensex down 10pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 10 points at 14,870.

Reliance Energy has tumbled 3% to Rs 594. Ranbaxy has shed 2% to Rs 360.

HDFC Bank and NTPC have dropped over 1.5% each to Rs 1,130 and Rs 153, respectively.

Satyam and HDFC have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 465 and Rs 1,954, respectively.

Reliance, Hindalco, Cipla and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each at Rs 1,698, Rs 155, Rs 216 and Rs 851, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Tata Steel and Maruti have rallied around 2% each to Rs 2,340, Rs 628 and Rs 806, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 673, Rs 1,000 and Rs 708, respectively.

Out of 2,608 stocks traded so far, 1,667 have declined, 887 have advanced and 54 are unchanged.
