Sensex down 10pts; Infosys, ITC firm

The Sensex is now down 10 points at 18,143.

The NSE Nifty is up 12 points at 5,286.

Grasim has soared 3.5% to Rs 3,050. Infosys and Cipla have surged over 3% each to Rs 1,491 and Rs 191, respectively.

ITC and Mahindra & Mahindra have rallied nearly 3% each to Rs 202 and Rs 705, respectively.

Tata Steel has gained 2.5% at Rs 716. Hindustan Unilever, Wipro and Ambuja Cements have advanced over 2% each to Rs 204, Rs 415 and Rs 117, respectively.

Ranbaxy has moved up 1.6% to Rs 356. TCS, Reliance Energy and HDFC are up over 1% each at Rs 864, Rs 2,120 and Rs 2,810, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has plunged 4.4% to Rs 2,352. ICICI Bank has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 1,228.

HDFC Bank has slipped over 3% to Rs 1,535, and SBI has slipped 2.5% to Rs 2,250.

DLF has shed 2.3% at Rs 872. Larsen & Toubro has dropped 1.5% to Rs 3,788, and Bharti Airtel is down 1% at Rs 861.

Out of 2,727 stocks traded so far, 1,348 have advanced, 1,345 have declined and 34 are unchanged.
