Sensex down 10pts; Maruti, HDFC Bank shine

The Sensex is now down 10 points at 14,409.

Maruti has rallied 2.4% to Rs 840. HDFC Bank has surged 2% to Rs 1,125.

Tata Steel has gained 1.5% at Rs 632. ACC, Tata Motors, HDFC and BHEL are up 1% each at Rs 881, Rs 733, Rs 1,736 and Rs 2,682, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 2,185. Gujarat Ambuja has slipped over 2% to Rs 116.

SBI has dropped 1.5% to Rs 1,326. ITC and Infosys are down 1% each at Rs 170 and Rs 1,943, respectively.

Out of 2,490 stocks traded so far, 1,290 have declined, 1,115 have advanced and 85 are unchanged.
