Sensex down 110pts; ACC, Tata Steel firm

The Sensex is now down 110 points at 15,865.

The NSE Nifty has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up two points at 4,774.

Larsen & Toubro has slumped 10.3% to Rs 2,680. BHEL has tumbled nearly 6% to Rs 1,907, and Reliance Energy has plunged 5.5% to Rs 1,200.

Maruti has shed 4.4% at Rs 892, and HDFC has dropped 3% to Rs 2,551.

Satyam, Grasim and Wipro have slipped around 2% each to Rs 414, Rs 2,730 and Rs 407, respectively.

Cipla, Tata Steel and ACC have surged around 2.5% each to Rs 205, Rs 791 and Rs 753, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has rallied over 2% to Rs 768. SBI and HDFC Bank have gained 1.7% each at Rs 1,874 and Rs 1,310, respectively.

Out of 2,645 stocks traded so far, 2,140 have declined, 466 have advanced and 39 are unchanged.
