Sensex down 112pts; Infosys declines 5%

The Sensex is hovering near the day's low of 9304, and is now down 112 points at 9333.

Infosys has dropped 5% to Rs 2,824.

HDFC has declined 3.2% to Rs 1,182, and Ranbaxy is down 2.6% at Rs 383.

TCS, ONGC, Reliance, Reliance Energy, Tata Steel, Bharti Tele, Hindalco, ACC, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro are down 1-2% each.

Grasim is up 1.6% at Rs 1,444. Maruti has pared some of its gains and is now up 1.2% at Rs 659. SBI is up 1% at Rs 919.

Out of 2,507 stocks traded so far, 1,114 have advanced, 1,323 have declined and the rest are unchanged.

Reliance tops the value chart with a turnover of Rs 543.34 crore followed by Infosys at Rs 377.78 crore, Satyam at Rs 104.49, SBI at Rs 102.12 crore and Celebrity Fashions at Rs 68.91 crore.

Reliance also tops the volume chart with trades of around 61.53 lakh shares followed by Bartronics with a volume of 42.10 lakh shares, GV Films (31.92 lakh shares), Celebrity Fashions (30.33 lakh shares) and Piramyd Retial (28.17 lakh shares).
